Virtual Oral History Workshop, Saturday March 6, 10:00-2:00Join the PLHC for an oral history workshop featuring special guest, Dr. Mary Therese Anstey. Dr. Anstey is the founder and principal investigator of HistoryMatters, LLC. With over sixteen years of experience, Dr. Anstey is a noted and skilled oral historian. Before establishing HistoryMatters, she served as the Historical & Architectural Survey Coordinator in the Colorado State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) where she was responsible for enhancing both the accuracy and quality of all data collected as part of grant-funded historical & architectural survey products. Dr. Anstey has worked with local communities across Colorado to explain and help initiate historic preservation projects.

Workshop attendees will also hear from CSU faculty, staff and graduate students about legal issues surrounding oral history, technical how-tos for oral history equipment, software, and transcription, and how to leverage oral history to improve public history scholarship and tell stories that matter.
